Job Description The WW Event Sponsorships Team leads sponsorships that map to specific, moment-in-time events, such as Prime Day, Back-

to-School, BF / CM, and Live Streamed Events. We partner with Sales, Retail, and CST to create high visibility opportunities for our advertisers during peak events.

We are looking for an Event Sponsorship Program Manager to support our Canada, Japan and emerging markets business. The position is a CA position and will be located in our Toronto office.

  • Some travel may be involved. This person will be responsible for scoping, building, and delivering event sponsorship advertising solutions for strategic partners, by identifying customer engagement opportunities across Amazon’s users’ journeys;
  • and by partnering with creative / product / account experts to provide solutions that deliver superior advertiser performance while delighting our customers.

    Key responsibilities Lead strategy and execution of Canada’s Event Sponsorship programPartner with local market advertising and retail leadership to lead Event Sponsorships for high profile events in Japan and new Amazon Advertising Markets.

    Respond quickly and thoroughly to requests for new sponsorship concepts that can be delivered rapidly to meet advertiser needs.

    Attend client meetings to help assess goals, objectives and asks in terms of sponsorship solutions. Summarize findings and distribute to stakeholders to drive forward required solutions.

    Develop overall execution plans that meet operational requirements, project manage the delivery of sponsorship solutions, and ensure that stakeholders have all the inputs required for flawless operation.

    Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs vs.

    technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.

    Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in Project Management.
  • Strong track record as result-oriented project owner, delivering innovative medium to large scale solutions across a project lifecycle.
  • Strong track records of building and delivering concept propositions that are thoughtfully scoped for flawless execution, including basic understanding of technical integration of ideas, and the ability to build relationships with development roles and designers.
  • Extensive experience in scoping technical requirements proven ability to write clear, realistic, and detailed functional specifications based on complex business requirements.
  • Strong track record of recommending improvements to the way projects are scoped, built, tested and deployed.
  • Experience in Product Management and working in close cooperation with technical teams.
  • Sound business judgment, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, solve problems, and prioritize demonstrated ability to think and act strategically and tactically, playing a significant role with business stakeholders to determine potential risks to a schedule and make difficult tradeoffs decisions.
  • Strong communication skills proven ability to influence others internally and externally, and experience partnering and supporting critical relationships and negotiations of agreements with a worldwide organization.
  • Ability to fluently read and write in English.
  • Strong passion about advertising, and well versed in industry standard technologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree or higher preferredBackground in digital / display advertising or media
