What will you do?
This involves operating and cleaning of equipment, documentation, verification of component usage and inspection of finished product.
The incumbent will help ensure the efficient packaging of our client’s high quality products. Job tasks are clearly defined and rules for performing them are available.
Job responsibilities are generally routine and repetitive. Work tasks are specific and fully defined.
Responsible for various packaging operations including filing, coding, capping, cartoning in accordance with established standards.
Responsible for inspecting packaging products for presence and correctness of lot number, expiry date and general package appearance.
Set up and changeover of the packaging line as required; all associated hand assembly and operations as required.
Training temporary staff in performing on line functions.
Ensure line cleanliness practices, procedures, SOP’s and packaging instructions.
Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
Complete necessary documentation and sign-off for processing. Other duties as required
Line cleaning precision
Maintaining GMP standards
Maintaining consistent product quality
Accuracy of documentation
Ensuring that all product and materials are removed from the line during cleaning and changeover, i.e. ensure tablets and capsules / pouches / cartons / inserts are not left in crevices or equipment etc.
Continuous checking for presence of lot number, expiration dates and ensuring tablet and capsule counts.
Actively participate and assist in completion of departmental initiatives.
Perform In-Process Checks as required ensuring all SOP and guidelines are met.
Ensure documentation is correct and sign-off is complete and ensure all required log books are filled out when required.
Ensure and perform the cleaning and sanitation of all equipment, parts and lines / areas after each packaging run to ensure GMP, SOP and Client guidelines are followed.
Monitor and maintain compliance of Packaging Wash-up Room, Dry Room and Equipment Storage Room.
Previous pharmaceutical packaging line experience.
Good manual dexterity
Ability to work at line speed and with minimal supervision.
Minimum high school diploma.
Familiarity with GMP’s a definite asset
Valid fork lift license
