The Meadow Lake Tribal Council is accepting applications for a highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Justice Mediation Coordinator.

The successful candidate will work closely with the MLTC Justice Team and the Meadow Lake First Nation Communities to oversee / coordinate the Alternative Measures / Extrajudicial Sanctions Protocol(s) for adults and youth.


  • Relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Training and mentorship will be provided on the job.
  • Mediation experience minimum of 25 mediations required.
  • Awareness of current First Nation governance systems, programs and service sectors with respect to protocol, structures, and procedures;

  • Knowledgeable on relevant legislation and how the Canadian Justice System
  • Demonstrated ability in research, written communication, and computer
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively assist with meetings and presentation
  • Organized, dependable, responsible and able to maintain strict confidentiality. Must be able to work with clients in a respectful and understanding
  • Ability to speak Cree and / or Dene is considered a definite
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able and willing to
