Position Description :
We are looking for an experienced engineering specialist to work on public cloud projects with opportunities to work on both Azure and AWS in a global financial organization, with a focus on improving operational stability and reliability.
This role requires the successful candidate to have :
Solid understanding of DMZ’s and associated infrastructure (eg Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxies), both on-premises and cloud
Strong infrastructure, development and DevOps skills
Ability to create solutions that scale and require minimal ongoing maintenance
Strong Troubleshooting skills
Prior SRE experience or the willingness to specialize in the field, with an automation mindset
Proven track record of service ownership, accountability and building trusted relationships
Experience in Change and Incident Management concepts
Primary Responsibilities :
Work in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust public Cloud solutions
Create Service Offerings suitable for broad adoption by DevOps teams with minimal effort
Collaborate with IT Security to ensure controls to Cloud services are deployed and tested
Design, optimize and document the operational aspects of the Cloud platform
Develop Infra as Code to automate cloud deployments
Develop automation workflows in CI / CD pipeline adhering to change management process
Participate in Oncall Rota, incident management processes, undertake chaos engineering
Complex troubleshooting of on-premise and cloud environment issues
Collaborate with vendors to develop Cloud services to meet customer expectations
Required Skills :
3+ years of relevant experience
Experience creating Infrastructure as Code and CI / CD pipelines
Sound knowledge of core Infrastructure and cloud computing components
Good knowledge of security (SAML, OAuth, OpenID, Kerberos, Policies, entitlements etc.)
Strong development skills of Terraform
Scripting : Python or Powershell
Hands on experience in playbook and infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform)
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
Developing monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations and alerts
Ability to communicate technical issues and ideas to colleagues and customers with clarity
Experience creating Service Catalog and technical architecture documentation
Nice to have :
Experience architecting and maintaining high availability production systems
Knowledge of security controls for the Public cloud (encryption of data in motion / rest and key management)
Hands-on experience with Azure and / or AWS design and implementation
Knowledge of Gateway Products (eg Spring Cloud Gateway) and Service Meshes (eg Istio)
Implementation of observability tools (eg Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or Open Telemetry)
Knowledge of Linux and Windows containers and Kubernetes
Good understanding of Web Technologies, SSL, Certificate Management / Authorities
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Knowledge of French and English is required.
