Academic Positions DUTIES Marine Institute Instructors, Research and Technical Personnel Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the successful applicant will assist in ensuring the Grenfell Campus website succeeds in providing a high quality user experience while maintaining brand standards.

This role ensures the website provides easy accessibility, up-to-date information for students prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members.

Duties include monitoring and completing all website service requests; building and managing documents, lists, forms, galleries, etc.

  • as required; ensuring high standards for communications quality, usability, and visual identity are met; analyzing analytics and running reports to limit inactive pages and ensure optimal performance;
  • reviewing and suggesting improvements to existing web content; review overall effectiveness; writing, organizing, and editing content;
  • and performing other related duties as required. Information for Prospective Employees Student and Other Positions QUALIFICATIONS Considerable experience (3-

  • 5 years) in communications, web development, marketing or a related field; graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in public relations, marketing, communications, or computer technology;
  • or any combination of relevant experience and training. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating, editing and organizing content for the web;
  • multimedia design; content management; knowledge of best practices and current trends in online marketing communications and the ability to work independently to document and solve user problems.

  • Strong coordination, consultation and teamwork abilities; strong knowledge of a variety of computer software programs including Microsoft Office, SharePoint 2013 CMS, and familiarity with web development tools;
  • strong customer service background as well as strong attention to detail is required. The ability to prioritize work and perform immediate web updates is required.
