Customer Service : Greet customers at the service desk. Complete library material loan transactions. Manage the petty cash box.
Provide reference services. Help users search the Library catalog and online tools.
Offer online reference help (ASK a Librarian)
Assist with a variety of projects such as : The creation and updating of research guides.Rare books’ exhibits.
MLIS degree in progress with the equivalent of one semester of completed coursework.
Customer service experience as a resource person.
Experience using a variety of online resources such as databases and ILS.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Bilingualism (French and English)
Work period : May to August 2017
Flexible schedule with some evening and weekend work (35 hours a week)
