MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
Analytics & Business Development team (A&BD) in Global Banking Americas is a recently created team, whose mission is to support GBA and Institutional Coverage decision-makers in achieving their strategic goals via meaningful content and purposeful execution.
It will focus on intelligence and analytics, serving as a single entry point for market, client and business data. A&BD will perform some of the tasks previously handled by the former GBA COO Office teams, namely Business Management, Client Analytics & Development and Client Data Management, to streamline, digitalize and further improve our support to client-facing staff.
The GBA Analytics Project Lead will focus on GBA’s data and reporting needs at GBA Senior Leaders’ level (incl. content provided by Analytics and Business Development) and support client development, contribute to growth plans and the tracking of initiatives.
The Project Lead’s objective is at the same time to streamline current main data sources used and key reports provided to GBA Senior Leaders and to determine ways to meet their current and future analytics needs in order to support them in the management and development of the franchise.
The position is also responsible for supporting the Global Banking Americas & Institutional Coverage platforms with the development of management & banker tools, analysis and content.
The candidate will be responsible for managing projects assigned to themselves and other junior team members, including assisting in the design and production of dashboards leveraging Alteryx workflow and Tableau / PowerBI visualization technology, ensuring the integrity, consistency, quality and timeliness of the data, analysis and reporting dashboards on a regular and ad hoc basis.
This includes all performance metrics and analysis for various units within GBA & Institutional Coverage and regional client consolidation.

CRM pipeline of opportunities & client interactions

A key deliverable of the Project Lead is to continue the development and implementation roadmap for GBA’s Analytics capabilities and to oversee the initial phases of its execution.
This includes spearheading and driving projects identified as priorities.
To be successful in this role, the Project Lead will interact regularly and create trust-based relationships with numerous Senior Leaders within GBA and Institutional Coverage, but also with key Functions partners in IT, Labs, Innovation teams across the organization.
It is imperative that the Project Lead demonstrates a high level of intellectual curiosity and identifies through trainings, publications, conferences, personal network etc.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify GBA and Institutional Coverage needs and deliver solutions
Identify main recurring data issues, review existing key reports at Senior leaders levels
Understand relevance of certain types of data or reportings to the Senior leaders of GBA and Institutional Coverage. Potential change management role in explaining goals and limitations of certain types of data / reports and in promoting active usage if beneficial for the platform
Anticipate GBA’s data and reporting needs in relation to the Platform’s strategy and key objectives
Provide action-oriented recommendations
Determine opportunity for more harmonization (e.g. create a data dictionary, avoid tailor-made when not required, leveraging and enhancing of existing tools) and more work efficiency (e.
g. create better access to certain data sources, streamline processes for production of reports, additional automation)
With an impact-based approach, prioritize main data and reporting topics to solve
Deep-dive on each topic to clarify and frame the problem and craft plan for resolution (methodology, timeline, resources) with the help of stakeholders such as the Front-Office, ITO and Function partners in particular Innovation teams and Labs
Drive change
Lead execution of quick-wins (the support team will depend on the topic)
Organize, launch and oversee the implementation of the more medium term deliverables
REQUIRED SKILLS
5-8 years of experience in bankingindustry (Consulting, Business Management, Finance, etc.)
Bachelor degree is required.Graduate degree is a plus
Fluent in English
Project management and / ordata-driven experience are mandatory
Understanding of internal systemsand / or a Finance background helpful
Proven leadership skills and drive.Ability to recognize areas of improvement and high energy to drive change.Self-starter and ability to work independently
Excellent written and oralcommunication skills. Confident in working with executive management
Great problem-solving skills, inparticular ability to simplify a complex problem
Strong background in Analytics
Ability to multi-task and greattime management
Outstanding MS Exceland PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI is a must, whileknowledge of Alteryx and other workflow technologies is a plus
