What you will need to succeed :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, or field related to information, data management and analytics or financial services with a minimum of 10 years overall relevant experience.
Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in a large technology team with 3+ years working in a data governance role
Knowledge on data regulations, privacy, ethical use of data, data sharing, critical data indicators, access management and data masking techniques.
Data management technologies / concepts : Big data / Hadoop, data lake, data warehouse, relational databases, data ingestion / ETL.
Experience with tools such as : SQL, Power BI, Cloudera Data Steward Studio, Informatica Big Data Management
Experience in the financial services sector.
Experience working in an Agile / DevOps and working with global teams.
Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into business & value-focused language.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task.
Ability to work with minimal or no supervision while performing duties.
Strong delivery focus, with the ability to work independently and within teams.
Ability to lead and motivate individuals to accomplish goals and deliverables, continuously tracking towards targets and milestones.
Ability and initiative to organize various functions necessary to accomplish department activities or goals and be a strong teammate.
A day in the life of a Data Management Analyst :
Partner with the segment data enablement and governance leads, technology teams and business partners to help develop the services and capabilities that advance overall data management capabilities for the global data office and group functions technology.
Drive Group Functions and Advanced Analytics Data Enablement and Governance initiatives, with accountability on delivery of Governance projects.
Day to day data governance operational tasks to support data office organizations, analytics and project teams
Providing oversight and management of data management products E.g. the enterprise data catalogue, data share agreements, critical data elements.
Manage Access Control List processes, documenting who should have access to what data, in compliance with privacy laws, data regulations and internal company policies.
Implement tools and technology for data governance programs such as data quality management, metadata management. Be hands-on with tooling and technology.
Collaborate with business owners to optimize data collection, storage and usage to maximize the value of information across the organization
Develop data management frameworks, policies, processes and controls, working with information risk management, and compliance to ensure alignment with evolving business, security and regulatory requirements
Act as a liaison between various stakeholder teams on data and analytics projects, ensuring adherence to data governance frameworks and polices.
Research and evaluate new and emerging tools and technology in the data management space, run proof of concepts and provide recommendations
Deliver presentations to various divisional leadership and governance groups, educating & training teams on data management and governance technology, tools and trends
