Our Contract Labour Office (CLO) is growing and looking for you to join their team!

The CLO's mandate is to partner with the business to enable a expedited and customer-focused, positive approach to engaging external resources.

At the same time, you will be balancing the commercial needs of the business while mitigating risk to the firm.

As the CLO Specialist, you will complete processes related to external resources - during the initial setup, while on contract, and when renewing or departing - for all operations and locations across Canada.

You are a vital part in ensuring that the CLO can operate efficiently by suggesting and contributing to ongoing improvements to your team's workflow, technology, and documentation.

Using your relationship-building skills, you'll collaborate with your team and hiring managers to facilitate intake conversations and deepen internal / external relationships.

You are a trusted advisor who can educate, challenge the status quo, and advise the business on creative approaches to find the right solutions and can guide, advise, and support hiring managers in the engagement of external resources that are critical to meeting the needs of their clients / projects or new processes introduced.

More of what you'll do includes :

  • Gather, clarify, and assess information related to the setup and case management of external sources
  • Collaborate with expert practitioners who are continuously expanding their skills and remain updated on market intelligence
  • Conduct KPMG history, background checks, independence, business verification, etc. and be aware of flags that may deem a case to be 'complex'
  • Maintain regular contact with stakeholders to keep them informed of progress related to their cases or request
  • Respond to ad hoc inquiries / requests to the CLO's mailbox (or your own inbox) by providing your insight
  • Leverage available technology to optimize CLO use-experience, processes, and usage of team resources and lead internal process improvements by identifying improvements, modifications, investigating issues, conducting impact analysis, and managing related change management activities
  • Maintain SOPs, forms & templates, and SNow knowledge articles
  • Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit

  • Strong oral / written communication skills
  • Experience working in a case management role
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders that may include senior firm members / Partners, contractors, external service providers, and various subject-matter experts (ITS, Finance, etc.)
  • High attention to detail
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced team environment with a high volume of work with varying degrees of complexity
  • Organized and able to manage competing deadlines
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
