You are a creative, energetic, results-driven sales professional with a passion for obtaining new business to drive revenue growth.

As a Business Development Executive, you play an integral part on our Sales team in researching and prospecting new clients, developing lasting relationships, and are responsible for qualifying prospects as well as owning their sales experience from the first point of contact to closed-

won! You must be an ambitious, achievement-oriented hunter who is passionate about technology, and thrives in a fast paced environment.

The position may require light travel for tradeshows and other related activities, but is primarily based out of our office location and reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

What we’d like you to do :

  • Identify and develop opportunities to obtain new clients and support revenue growth
  • Manage a sales forecast and pipeline to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets are met
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting through to closing to continually secure new business
  • Prospect for new business / lead generation through cold-calling, networking and leveraging social media such as LinkedIn
  • Provide a solutions-based approach to selling the Media Sonar product and services and build strong relationships with prospective clients
  • Use Salesforce to maintain current opportunities and track sales activities
  • Ask questions to uncover pain points and effectively match tailored business solutions to the needs of prospects
  • Provide prospects with competitive business and industry insights and work closely with Marketing, Sales and Product Development as it relates to product / marketing planning, messaging, and lead initiatives
  • Other duties as required
  • You should be someone who has / is :

  • Minimum of 3 years of business development, inside sales or related experience in a competitive software industry
  • University or College degree with demonstrated excellence in your field of study. Marketing, Business or Communications background would be ideal
  • Strong prospecting and lead generation experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Comprehensive understanding of a sales process and how to manage a sales funnel
  • Significant knowledge and experience in the social media space, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, and blogs
  • Superior written and verbal communication with excellent presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, retain flexibility and maintain composure under pressure
  • Energy and creativity a must
  • Due to the nature of our industry, you could be asked to submit a police background check and associated confidentiality agreement
