Job Description

This role is responsible for administrative duties in ensuring the efficiency of the department's operations. A key component of the role requires to perform a variety of Investment lending functions that is monitored and measured using various statistics tools both at the department and credit administration officer level.

This person will also be involves in responding to inquiries from internal and external clients and providing a consistent level of customer service in accordance with Laurentian Bank of Canada's standards, policies, and procedures.


ºAdministration / maintenance of loans underwritten systematically or by a Credit Analyst, ensuring all procedures and policies are followed.

ºInternal and external communication with our clients in an efficient and professional manner.

ºVerifies the accuracy of data / details on loan applications, supporting documentations and various transactions to ensure their accuracy for in good order and compliance / regulatory requirements are met.

ºRespond to, or escalate inquiries from various internal and external clients, ensuring that the highest level of customer service is delivered.

ºMaintains proficiency in the use of primary systems such as T24, EASE, ASAP, and imaging systems, and remains familiar with all other banking systems.

ºComplete daily workload within strict timeframes as set by the Bank and address any issues with the Assistant Manager.


ºBilingual (French) verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.

ºPost-secondary degree or diploma

º2 to 3 years of work experience related to credit or underwriting with a bank or trust company.

  • ºProven customer service skills; solid listening skills in order to address customer's needs, ability to anticipate needs or problem;
  • ºResults-oriented, diplomatic, and adept at building customer relations.

    ºFamiliarity with using large and complex financial database systems; ability to learn inquiry functions in back office processing systems.

    ºDemonstrated ability to use initiative and good judgment.

    ºResults-oriented, diplomatic, and adept at building customer relations.

    ºExcellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.

    ºStrong written and verbal communication skills.

    ºAbility to identify process improvements and communicate these to their supervisor

    ºComputer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook a must. Familiarity with using complex and large financial database systems, with the ability to learn inquiry functions in back office processing systems.

    ºFamiliarity with 5S, Kaizen Principles, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset.

    ºBilingual (French / English) verbal and written communication skills are mandatory

    ºFlexibility is appreciated during high volume periods.
