Position Summary :
This position will provide comprehensive technical service support for all photofinishing, graphics and high speed inkjet equipment sold by Fujifilm.
This position will be responsible for providing superior service to ensure that equipment operates properly and meets established quality and reliability levels.
Perform on-site service calls when required to resolve technical problems.
Configure, prepare and install equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
Provide training on new equipment to customer's operator(s), as required.
Perform preventative maintenance calls to properly maintain and adjust equipment according to manufacturer specs.
Participate in product and / or application training as required.
Provide technical support and assistance to other customer support staff, as required.
Work with dispatch to ensure that customer requests are handled in a timely fashion.
Analyze and resolve technical equipment problems over the phone, when possible.
Ensure all work orders are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Report any persistent equipment problems and / or difficult situations to National Technical Service Manager.
Skills / Education :
1-2 years previous experience in equipment repair or maintenance is preferred but not required.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems within a fast paced environment.
Proven technical skills including knowledge of electronics, robotics, pneumatics and PLC code.
Good understanding of Printing and Photofinishing business.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft OS and Adobe Suite of products.
Prior experience with colour and a variety of RIP stations would be an asset.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel, as well as work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, due to on-call and overtime requirements.
Post-Secondary Diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering would be an asset.
