Manage all the central engineering change sourcing activities for Tooling and Capital to competitive & competent suppliers while working closely with vendors, CME and Process Engineering
Negotiate all EC costs based on sound technical judgement
Maintain Approved Supplier List
Risk assessment, financial management in conjunction with JAGGAER system
Maintain a sourcing tracker for all new programs (including savings, timing and contracts)
Manage all procurement data and equipment documentation in CDB
Work with CME and Process Engineering to assess suppliers based on technical and commercial competitiveness. Manage the approval process and documents.
Manage SAP P.O’s, Contract protocol, PPSO procedure, support Capex and cash out reporting
Present supplier recommendation in conjunction with engineering department
Ensure capital & process tool sourcing meets program budget at all times
Utilizes the experience and expertise of cross-functional team members to ensure tooling and equipment meets all cost, quality, reliability and productivity requirements.
Continuously monitor supplier capability and capacity.
Participate in negotiating Rebate Agreements with suppliers and maintain tracking both in JAGGAER and within a department tracker
Support Supplier Scorecard and communicate performance to suppliers annually
Develop and maintain Tooling and Capital Strategy while updating the Tooling and Capital global team
Ensure all sourcing activities on Tooling and Capital meet the defined project plan
Work with Engineering to identify, develop Tooling and Capital suppliers for new product development
Support estimation department for technical and financial requirements
Must be able to travel to all KIRCHHOFF Automotive facilities as required

Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to.
Ensures he / she is in full compliance with the laws of Ontario and / or any other province or state, while representing KIRCHHOFF Automotive or during the use of any KIRCHHOFF Automotive provided equipment.
College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
3-5 years’ experience in the automotive industry with exposure to building and sourcing dies, robotics, welding tools / fixtures and press equipment.
Experience with stamping dies, presses, mig, spot, laser welding, and joining technologies
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 requirements
Good understanding of supplier cost factors related to die construction and process tooling
Skills (language, technical, computer etc.)
Excellent project management skills
Excellent technical knowledge and experience in procuring dies and process equipment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Effective negotiation and decision making skills
Ability to handle multi-tasks and changing priorities
Works well in a team environment
Excellent analytical skills and exercises sound judgement
