About the Position
Conduct peer reviews of member firms and prepare findings reports
Anticipate the needs of member firms and develop and deliver solutions and resources with respect to technical training and knowledge sharing
Assist in the organization of various conferences, knowledge forums and seminars, including delivery of content
Prepare various publications, such as standards updates, topics of interest and technical bulletins
Respond to technical queries from member firms by providing research and practical solutions to accounting, assurance and ethical issues
Assist with piloting various software tools and co-ordinate training required across the country
Identify, prepare and implement revisions to national audit, review and compilation engagement templates to incorporate efficiencies and changes in standards
Act as a primary contact for firms regarding use of engagement templates, including carrying out training on the efficient use of templates
Note that this position involves some travel

A successful candidate will have :
CPA designation required
7+ years of experience in a public accounting firm
In-depth knowledge of accounting and assurance standards
Previous experience in leading teams and overseeing staff on multiple engagements
Experience in a professional standards role preferred
Interest in independently conducting research into complex technical issues
Ability to take ownership, co-ordinate and execute multiple short and long-term projects
Interest in learning and integrating emerging technology
Strong working knowledge of CaseWare and CaseView
Advanced written and verbal communication, presentation and relationship building skills
Confidence and professionalism in dealing with senior members of our firms and network
French is not required but would be considered an asset
