The Senior Labour Relations Manager role offers a coveted and exciting opportunity for an exceptional, seasoned Labour Relations professional.
The Senior Labour Relations Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and alignment of the Company’s labour strategy, while providing proactive strategic labour direction to business partners across North America.
With 15 collective agreements spread across multiple business units in both Canada and the United States, this position offers a rare challenge and opportunity for the right candidate.
Above all, the right candidate will demonstrate superior relationship and collaboration skills with unquestioned integrity and credibility.
Key Tasks :
Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders (employees, leaders, union representatives, counsel, government officials, arbitrators, mediators).
Provide strategic support and advice to business partners regarding all facets of labour relations including grievances, arbitrations, performance management, labour law and collective bargaining.
Represents the Company’s interest in legal reviews, hearings and meetings.
Develop and execute on a comprehensive labour strategy.
Stay current on labour relations and employment law trends.
Lead negotiations on behalf of the Company.
Review, edit and standardize current procedural practices, programs and policies.
Bachelor Degree in Business or Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
8-10 years of progressive Labour Relations experience including experience as Lead Negotiator.
CPHR or SHRM would be an asset.
