Role Summary

As an electrical engineering student intern, you will be required to work with minimal supervision and will be expected to continually improve the operation of his / her area and equipment.

The job will entail a close working relationship with production and maintenance personnel. The candidate should view this position as an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in a highly automated, world class automotive

Key Responsibilities

Generate project specifications and general designs for small projects

Assist senior engineers with equipment installations and start up

Provide technical support to the Maintenance, Production, Quality and Safety Departments

Make continuous improvements to existing tooling and equipment

Coordinate projects with maintenance or contracted personnel

Other duties as assigned

Involved in preventative maintenance and planning

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an electrical engineering program

Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills

Highly adaptable and able to work independently and in a team environment

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with an ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Fundamental computer skills including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
