Description

As an integral part of the procurement team, the buyer is responsible for the purchasing of certain goods to ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts, accessories and robotic items.

He must ensure full collaboration with the manufacturers and the respect of the rules and policies agreed between the parties.

Tasks and responsibilities

The buyer will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities :

  • Processes the purchases of the required products and make sure to respect the necessary quantities in order to avoid excess inventory and stockouts;
  • Analyzes data (delivery costs, quantities / minimum orders, average manufacturer’s time) to maximize the purchases profitability;
  • Evaluate cost reduction opportunities;
  • Participate in the improvement of procurement tools and process;
  • Negotiates with existing suppliers the various conditions (price, terms of payment, delivery) and ensures that they are satisfying;
  • Checks and accordingly adjusts the retail prices of our products in relation to the competition, while following pre-established scales;
  • General support to other members of the procurement team;
  • All other related duties.
  • Education

  • College diploma in administration, operations or equivalent specialization;
  • Any professional, college or university degree in procurement or related field will be considered as an asset.
  • Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a procurement position;
  • Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with computer tools and ability to navigate and use multiple applications or screens;
  • Knowledge of the Google Mail / Docs environment an asset;
  • Aptitude with the analysis of figures (profit margin, billing, etc.).

  • Perfectly bilingual spoken and written, french and english (international suppliers).
