Under the direction of the Director, the Purpose Social and Content Manager is responsible for the oversight and execution of Social Media and Content programs in support of BMOs Purpose.

This includes but is not limited to ideating, writing, editing, and / or creating ""shareable"" content, distributing content on the appropriate platforms and measuring the results of marketing activity.

Additional responsibilities may include writing and presenting insight-driven assignment briefs for both media and content agencies, management of media and content agency stakeholders, on-going campaign creative and media feedback, data analysis and reporting results.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead creative and media agencies to develop and implement plans for marketing in support of BMOs Purpose : writing and editing briefs, ongoing review and evaluation of creative social and content and ensuring the team manages production schedules and approvals.
  • Ideate, write, edit, and / or create ""shareable"" content, distribute content on the appropriate platforms and measure the results of marketing activity.
  • Work closely with agency partners to identify, evaluate and implement program tactics and ensure projects are actively managed so that we are tracking toward our goals.
  • Cultivate, build relationships and collaborate with internal communications teams, internal digital teams, brand governance, legal / compliance, as well as multiple external creative and media agencies.
  • Oversee the tracking and analysis of performance data to measure effectiveness and find opportunities to optimize.
  • Manage relationships with key agency partners and the line of business marketing leads across our U.S. businesses.
  • Work with the brand governance team, advertising agency and internal creative department (when appropriate) to ensure that all digital creative meets brand standards, offers the best customer experience and encourages engagement.
  • Knowledge and Skills

    What youll need to be successful :

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Public Relations, marketing / advertising, communications or related field.
  • 4-6 years of marketing, content, and social media experience.
  • Brilliant communicator : a strong storyteller who can express views in person, in powerpoint and in narrative format.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a team player with the ability to merge varying points-of-view and build partnerships to get things done.
  • You bring a collaborative working style to all that you do.
  • Results-driven : Adept at gathering and analyzing data to gain insight into what works, and developing recommendations to optimize marketing effectiveness.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and excellent creative sensibilities : well-developed ability to evaluate whether creative meets strategic objectives and brand standards.
  • Experience managing / communicating with media and content agencies, including leading the day-to-day management and maintenance of digital / social media / content campaigns (agency or client-side).
  • Experience managing the creation of online and offline marketing communications : writing clear, succinct creative briefs, leading kick-off meetings with agency and internal partners, managing production and deployment and measuring results.
  • Experience managing content programs for large-scale brand(s)
  • Exceptionally strong project management skills with demonstrated track record managing complex projects across functional lines.
  • Proven ability to manage third-party vendors to deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Passion for marketing, including new trends and technologies.
  • Self-motivated and directed; able to turn an idea from concept into a clear plan of action.
