We keep the team in sync with daily stand-ups and have a retrospective once a month to discuss things that are going well and opportunities for improvements.

We surround teams with everything they need, Scrum Masters to coach us on process, Product Owners to make sense of the work, Pod Leaders to help with our careers and Competency Leads to facilitate technical design and provide mentorship in advanced technical skills.

What you'll do...

As part of the Data Hub team, you will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flows and collection for cross functional teams.

The pipeline needs to be scalable, repeatable, and secure. You will work with some of the largest and most varied data sets (both batch and real-

time) in Canada. You will expand and develop the LoyaltyOne Cloud analytical platform that enables business users, data analysts and data scientists to make data driven decisions, build innovative data products and roll out advanced analytics.

Who you are...

  • 1-2 years' experience with Python, Spark, and SQL
  • 1-2 years' experience building big data’ pipelines, architectures, and datasets
  • 1-2 years' experience with Amazon AWS and other cloud platforms
  • 1-2 years' experience with Data bricks
  • 1-2 years' experience with Agile methodologies as well as familiar with CI / CD tools (Jenkins, Travis, GitHub)
  • Experience in ETL and Data Modeling preferred
  • Experience in designing and implementing streaming applications is preferred
  • Fully understand standard architecture methodologies, processes and best practices
  • Explore new technologies and look for the best technologies for the job
  • Ability to identify challenges directly
  • Knowledge in mentoring and training of employees
  • Strong communication and motivational skill
  • Team orientated and able to work independently
