    Purpose of Position Accountable for all aspects of the AR and AP functions, and responsible for supervising, leading & developing a team of up to 10 AR / AP team members for the 5 Trojan divisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible of ensuring that all working capital requirements are met and continuously improved. This includes managing and improving working capital turns, collections targets, DSO targets, and DPO targets.
  • Developing process improvements in all parts of the AP and AR day to day tasks to create process efficiencies.
  • Responsible for supervising, leading, developing, and training a team of up to 10 AR / AP associates.
  • Maintenance of accurate AR and AP sub ledgers.
  • Reviewing credit terms and vendor’s terms for existing and new customers / vendors, and ensuring that the ERP system is always up to date.
  • Ensuring all AP and AR transactions are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Ensuring timely invoicing to customers and collection from customers, by performing proactive and reactive collections of delinquent accounts.
  • Daily problem solving and follow up with customers, vendors, and Trojan associates located in other locations internationally.
  • Responsible for ensuring that SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) and ACP (Anti-Corruption Policy) compliance controls for all AR / AP activities is met.
  • Background and Skill

  • Post-Secondary Education in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, and 5 years supervisory experience in AR and AP.
  • Above average computer skills ERP, Excel, etc.
  • Strong organization, project management, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure accuracy and integrity of data and information.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work both independently, and in a team setting
  • Strong ability to build cross-functional relationships within the organization.
  • Strong ability to manage fast-paced day-to-day tasks, as well as step back to think creatively and contemplate the long-term vision.
