As our Director - Portfolio Management Office (PMO), your primary role is to support Shared Services with continuous improvement initiatives.

You will have the bird’s eye view’ to all of Traction’s Initiatives and will ensure the success of the overall execution of these initiatives as a single program.

You will also be leading the PMO team in its different functions (project management, business analysis, account management).

Portfolio management is an approach to achieving strategic goals by selecting, prioritizing, assessing, and managing projects, programs, and other related work based upon their alignment and contribution to the organization's strategies and objectives.

At Traction, we are applying this approach to our Shared Services team in order to manage our continuous improvement initiatives which aim to expand existing capabilities for all of our Traction Entities.

This team has a keen focus on ensuring our different Traction Entities (ToD, Guest, Complete, Pulse) are getting the most value out of Shared Services group through the execution of world class operational services.

Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Any project management related certification (CAPM, PMP etc.) is an asset.
  • 7+ years in a client facing role managing IT based projects
  • Experience and passion for managing teams; Strong leadership skills
  • Hands-on experience with one or more CRM software products (, Siebel, Clarify, Vantive, PeopleSoft, NetSuite) would be a strong asset.
  • Ability to interact with a executives and demonstrate strategic understanding of business needs.
  • Ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Ability to multi-task in a SUPER fast paced environment.
  • Willingness and passion to learn what you don’t have knowledge in quickly. Desire to be the best at what you do.

  • Drive prioritization / selection process of our strategic initiatives with key stakeholders across our Shared Services Organization.
  • Estimation / Forecasting Cost & Effort on PMO driven Initiatives
  • Portfolio Management : Integrating & sequencing initiatives where there are opportunities to increase efficiency in portfolio execution as well as maximizing impact of our rollouts.
  • Identifying dependencies between Initiatives / Programs / Activities and actively managing the pacing and completion of these activities.


  • Program Management : Drive cross department initiatives. Coordinate / collaborate w / stakeholders & project team members across all streams within a program.
  • Ensuring program realizes its overall objectives.

  • Ongoing Reporting to Shared Services Leaders on Initiatives Portfolio (status & tracking, KPIs, forecasting)
  • Compliance : Support Shared Service Teams on Traction Project Methodology
  • Budget tracking costs across Shared Services Initiatives
  • Risk Management between Initiatives that cannot be provided at project level from a holistic point of view
  • Lessons Learnt for continuous improvement of Project Standards
