Employee Master Data Specialists are the subject-matter experts and key resource accountable for ensuring employee data integrity in SAP.
This entails creating and maintaining structural organizational management (OM) data in SAP for organization units including position relationships, and associated financial cost structures to ensure data integrity is maintained.
They are also responsible for all management staffing actions across CN and supporting and providing guidance to unionized Functional Administrators on unionized staffing actions.
They also support identifying and addressing security weaknesses and gaps involving employee data. With their deep knowledge, they understand the impact of changes in SAP or other associated systems.
He / She will support the HR Manager Data Governance in ensuring :
Data Governance processes and procedures are adhered to;
Data Integrity standards are met;
Data Security weaknesses & gaps are addressed, and
Data Strategy initiatives involving providing training and guidance are to stakeholders and supporting regular reporting, analytics and auditing are performed.
Act as a super user for data maintenance including resolving issues and providing the necessary business knowledge required in addressing data quality issues.
Ownership over management staffing actions and providing guidance on unionized staffing actions.
Support Manager in identifying areas requiring data governance processes and standards.
Assist Manager is establishing processes and standards and ensuring compliance to them. Ensure standard operating procedures, quality management standards and business process are adhered to.
Support best-in-class reporting and analytics.
Support data quality and security audits.
Support data clean-up initiatives.
Identify stakeholders requiring training and guidance and support Manager in establishing training material as well as giving training.
Support Manager in identifying security weaknesses and gaps in dealing with stakeholders.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge :
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with SAP employee and organization management
University Degree an asset
Accounting knowledge an asset
Ability to serve as an escalation point from a data issue perspective and to monitor and identify data quality and security related issues
Ability to identify master data weaknesses and gaps requiring clean-up efforts, lead the clean-up initiatives and manage master data quality improvement initiatives as needed
Ability to provide effective guidance and training to stakeholders.
Expert knowledge of SAP master data and related maintenance tools
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of current HR processes or industry best practices
