Stuart Olson Industrial Inc. is seeking Journeyman Industrial Electricians with 5+ years’ industrial electrical maintenance experience.

These positions are located in the Edmonton, AB area on a client site.
Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Working in and around heavy equipment.
Personal Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, etc.
Plan new or modify installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Trouble shooting electrical equipment; including 120V-5kV circuitry, control systems, HVAC systems, cathodic protection,
EHT experience in install and troubleshooting MI and SR type trace as well as control systems
Energizing and de-energizing breakers and VFD’s
Maintaining, operating and performance monitoring on 480V-5kV MCC line ups throughout the facility
Transformer monitoring and maintenance dry and oil bath types
Valve, motor and calibration experience
Electric over hydraulic and electric valve actuator repair and maintenance experience
Emerson Delta V and PLC experience
Experience with BMS (burner management and control systems)
SIL rated control systems as well as maintenance, record keeping and associated documentation
Repair faulty equipment or systems.
Other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Understand and practice company policies and procedures.
Actively participate in our health and safety program
Certified Journeyman Electrician
Valid government issued photo ID
JLG, Zoom boom, Confined space, CPR training, and Man watch
Strong written and verbal communication
Strong focus on customer satisfaction
Pre-site Drug and Alcohol testing

The ability to climb 4 stories or more
Stand or walk for long periods of time
The ability to lift 50 lbs. on a continual basis
The ability to work in lower level confined spaces for 3 hour periods

Use of ladders or scaffolding
