Reporting to the Loadout Supervisor and the Loadout Team Lead Hand, the Loadout Technician is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable operation of Ammonia Loading (Offloading), Dry Product Loading, and general Railyard & Storage Operation.
The Loadout Technician will be responsible for equipment monitoring and the preparation of equipment for Maintenance. The Loadout Technician will be responsible for strict adherence to both Provincial and Federal Transport Regulation (and where applicable, International Regulation).
What you will do : Independently manage Railyard Operation to carry out loading, scheduling, in and outbound rail traffic, identify and defer defective equipment for servicing as well as sealing and accounting of loading / offloading of railcars into management toolsOperate equipment in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures as well as effectively maintain, revise & create Standard Operating ProceduresSafe permitting of various maintenance activities as well as isolation and preparation of equipment for maintenanceEnsure safe delivery of product in a timely mannerEffectively manage traffic onsite to facilitate safe loading & reduce congestionDelivery of product to storage and distribution with minimal effect to Process OperationsArrange for product management requirements on off hoursCommunicate product quality to proactively address product concernsCompletion of maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operationDirect Railyard Operations and Logistics with our Service Provider CPEnsure zero disruption of service, minimal switching requirements, effective delivery and receiving of equipment while upholding site security standardsOperate mobile equipment safelyPerform routine duties including minor maintenance, housekeeping and equipment clearingPerform work outside in all conditions (wind, rain, snow, cold and hot weather)What you will bring : High School Diploma or GED equivalentHeavy Equipment Certification or Power Engineering Certificate 4th class consider an assetCapable of performing physically active duties on a routine basisAbility to work both independently, in a team environment and possess strong interpersonal skillsMotivation with an enthusiasm for continuous learningCapable of operating heavy equipment including front end loader, rail car mover, forklift & skid steerComputer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook requiredDemonstrated experience in a Process Operation or Terminal preferredKnowledge of Provincial, Interprovincial or International Transport Regulation an assetAre you a good match?
