IUGO, one of Vancouver's leading mobile game developers, responsible for smash successes such as The Walking Dead : Road to Survival and Knights & Dragons, is currently seeking a Development Director to lead and support our growing team.

You will bring your expertise within project management and game development to amplify performance and motivation. You will enhance processes and optimize people interaction within our studio to ultimately contribute to producing great games.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, we have openings for both project-level and studio-level positions. Details are listed below.


  • Direct and refine IUGO's project teams' development and production processes
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a strong environment of support at all levels of a project team
  • Responsible for optimizing team performance across major discipline such as engineers, content and producers
  • Ensure all project teams maintain strong alignment with IUGO culture and core values
  • Manage project level relationships with publishing partners (infrequent traveling necessary)
  • Manage and mentor production personnel including producers and team leads from various disciplines, ensuring the team have everything they need to excel
  • Solve problems, balance priorities and find solutions that fit the goals of the studio and lead to improved performance
  • Assist in all stages of new project planning
  • Assist in recruitment, selection and on-boarding process
  • Requirements

  • 12+ years of working within a software / game development company
  • 7+ years of managing cross functional software / game development teams at a senior level
  • Passionate with strong understanding of Free-To-Play mobile games
  • Highly motivated individual and able to positively influence others to strive for success
  • Confident in taking initiative to identify areas to improve and optimize across different teams
  • Exemplary leadership skills and the ability to establish credibility and influence with teams as well as 3rd party partners
  • Proficient in professional project management tools, software and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and possesses strong emotional intelligence skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - able to work on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-
  • depth evaluation of various factors


  • Understanding of Free-to-Play mobile games
  • Experience managing the development and shipment of AAA titles on iOS and Android platforms
  • Engineering background
