Overview ofPosition :
This position is responsible for the maintenance andtroubleshooting of all Plant Equipment, Processing Equipment, high speedpackaging equipment and ancillary equipment.
Responsible for maintaining all mechanical and electrical systems, as well as all plant machinery
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and outside contractors and ensure that work is completed in a safe manner that complies with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations and standards i.
e. H&S, GMP’s, HACCP, WHMIS, MSDS etc.
Communicate daily Maintenance Activities with Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance team and update all daily logs
Improve and maintain existing PM systems and ensure that all required parts are ordered.
Identify opportunities and make recommendations to continuously improve maintenance operations and efficiencies
Attend prescribed courses and training as required
Ideal Qualifications :
Trade license such as Industrial Electrician License (442a) and / or Millwright License (433a or 309a)
2-5 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and familiarity with HACCP, GMP’s, etc.
Familiar with continuous improvement processes and methodologies considered an asset
Strong preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ability
Good communication skills, including written and verbal
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must be flexible in terms of shift work and perform other duties as required
