As the Team Lead, Residential Services, you will supervise and lead a team of residential key workers as well as support the development, implementation and monitoring of daily lifestyle activities and programs that promote long-
term independence and societal reintegration of homeless adult men struggling with multi-faceted and often conflicting issues, including addictions, mental health issues or brain injury.
This position provides direct support and leadership to the overall operations of McCullough Centre and has direct responsibility for approximately a team of 6 staff.
At times multiple issues or situations can arise at once. Your highly developed skills to trouble shoot and apply proactive planning is essential.
The need to understand and apply legislation for persons in care is also crucial. Knowledge of the Alberta 10 Year plan to end homelessness will be a guiding document.
As the successful candidate, you must have a complete understanding of the complexities in dealing with residents who have multiple and often conflicting issues / barrier including, active addictions, mental health issues or brain injury.
You must continually demonstrate the ability and flexibility in addressing and supervising the multitude of vulnerable situations and issues that residents may bring in various forms to McCullough Centre.
Your strong leadership and development of staff / team will make you the candidate of choice.
Qualifications Related degree (i.e. Social Sciences, Health, or Rehabilitation) plus one year of related experience with previous supervisory responsibility is required.
Equivalencies will be considered : a two year related diploma and two years related experience with supervisory responsibility.
Previous work experience in the care of adult persons with addictions, psychiatric, or mental disabilities as well as working with homeless individuals is preferred.
Salary $2,521.58 to $3,022.54 Bi-weekly
Notes This is a temporary position for approximately 1 year.
McCullough Centre is located at Gunn (Lac Ste.Anne area); 12 kms west of Onoway; 50 kms south of Barrhead, 65kms northwest of Edmonton.

The final candidate for this position will be asked to undergo academic verification, and provide a Criminal Records Check that includes a Vulnerable Sector screening check.
The successful candidates must have the availability to work days, evenings and weekends on a 6 / 3 rotation on a regular basis and night shifts as needed.
As there is no public transportation to McCullough Centre, access to your own transportation is required. McCullough Center is a smoke free environment and regulated by legislation.
