What can you expect in this role?As an imbedded member of the Commercial Alliances Legal team in Sonnet’s Toronto office, the incumbent will : Develop a complete and detailed understanding of Sonnet’s contracts including all terms and conditions, SLAs and contractual obligationsLead information gathering sessions with all stakeholders and business partners to understand requirements and deliverables, ensuring contract documents align with requirementsProvide management of and guidance on agreement requirements, terms and conditions, deliverables, timelines and other contractual termsAssist with drafting and reviewing contract documents and provide negotiation supportWork with service providers to modify terms and conditions to meet the operational objectives of the businessAdvise legal counsel of all material contract issues and escalate issues, where appropriateDevelop and implement contract management processes that monitor and track intellectual property rights, compliance with contract terms and internal policies.
Act as point of contact for internal stakeholders for contract questions.Work with the legal team on continuous improvement and standardization of process best practices.
What do you bring to the role?Post-secondary education (university or college degree).5+ years’ experience in a similar role with experience in digital marketing space.
Experience in financial institutions or other regulated entity would be ideal.Comprehensive understanding of the contract management process, agreement types and uses, and standard terms and conditions, combined with experience in negotiationProblem-solving and solutioning skillsExcellent interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication skillsPro-active, self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, who can manage multiple work tasks simultaneously to closure, conducting timely follow ups to ensure issues and questions are addressedWillingness to build strong business relationships and ability to deal with staff at all levels within the organization in a professional mannerGo ahead and expect a lot you deserve it.
