Our client in the construction industry is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to manage the day to day accounting and implement job costing, inventory control and enhance internal controls.
The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting skills and previous experience in setting up job costing / inventory system and provide profitability analysis.
Maintain records of all accounting transactions and will perform a broad range of duties, including but not limited to, process improvements, inventory control, job costing and systems implementations;
Responsible for overseeing financial activities including preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts and profitability analysis
Perform month-end closing, including reconciliations;
Responsible for processing corporate payroll functions and benefit administration;
Manage and oversee the accounts receivable / payable functions including cash flow management, credit and collections;
Perform business review and profitability analysis on new and existing businesses
Act as a direct liaison with third party auditors; and
Ensure accuracy and quality of data for information entered in accounting system;
Qualifications Required :
Minimum 5 years related experience
Must be hands on wearing multiple hats in a private run company
Strong experience in system implementations, costing and inventory control
Takes charge, enthusiastic and self initiated
Good problem solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
