Title : Recruiter Location : New Westminster, BC Job description Responsibilities PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provides full cycle recruitment services for positions throughout the organization, including bargaining unit and exempt


  • Participates in the recruitment of bargaining unit and exempt positions, including preparation of job bulletins; recommending advertising sources and preparing ads;
  • reviewing applications, screening applicants and recommending candidates for interviews; participating in preparation of selection criteria, questions and tests;
  • monitoring & marking applicant testing; involvement in interviewing and selection of suitable candidates; conducting reference checks and drafting related correspondence.

  • Provides information as required to supervisors and managers on general employment matters, including recruitment, salary administration and other terms and conditions of employment in consultation with Senior / HR Advisor.
  • Keeps Senior / HR Advisor informed of any unresolved issues as they emerge.
  • Assists with various recruitment initiatives, including career fairs.
  • Qualifications Education and Experience

    Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline, including courses in interviewing techniques, plus 2 years previous experience in Human Resources with exposure to recruitment practices and the administration of employment procedures and

    policies; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Other Requirements :

  • Solid knowledge of principles, laws / regulations and practices relevant to recruitment.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Solid analytical skills to interpret information to ensure consistency of application of rules and procedures.
  • Solid planning and organizational skills to coordinate workload and timely delivery of services.
  • Working knowledge of relevant HR systems and modules as well as standard office applications.
