Title : Recruiter Location : New Westminster, BC Job description Responsibilities PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provides full cycle recruitment services for positions throughout the organization, including bargaining unit and exempt
Participates in the recruitment of bargaining unit and exempt positions, including preparation of job bulletins; recommending advertising sources and preparing ads;
reviewing applications, screening applicants and recommending candidates for interviews; participating in preparation of selection criteria, questions and tests;
monitoring & marking applicant testing; involvement in interviewing and selection of suitable candidates; conducting reference checks and drafting related correspondence.
Provides information as required to supervisors and managers on general employment matters, including recruitment, salary administration and other terms and conditions of employment in consultation with Senior / HR Advisor.
Keeps Senior / HR Advisor informed of any unresolved issues as they emerge.
Assists with various recruitment initiatives, including career fairs.
Qualifications Education and Experience
Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline, including courses in interviewing techniques, plus 2 years previous experience in Human Resources with exposure to recruitment practices and the administration of employment procedures and
policies; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Requirements :
Solid knowledge of principles, laws / regulations and practices relevant to recruitment.
Solid oral and written communication skills
Solid analytical skills to interpret information to ensure consistency of application of rules and procedures.
Solid planning and organizational skills to coordinate workload and timely delivery of services.
Working knowledge of relevant HR systems and modules as well as standard office applications.
