We currently have a Regular Full-time opportunity for a Data Coordinator in the Health Records department located at the Bayview Campus.
Summary of Duties :
Responsible for conducting daily audits regarding data quality entries in the Patient Care System (PCS) which impacts distribution of reports to primary care providers.
Identify errors and ensure updates / corrections are made in a timely fashion.
Liaise with external stakeholders to maximize data quality.
Produce daily reports that will facilitate appropriate follow-up, identify areas for improvement and other reports as requested.
Work collaboratively with Manager, Supervisors and key stakeholders.
Assist in other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in health care administration environment.
Successful completion of a health information management program or equivalent health informatics or higher level of education in the Health care related field.
Clear knowledge and understanding of the ADT system preferred.
Excellent organization skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
Clear understanding of legislations and guidelines related to the Security and Privacy of Personal Health Information.
Outstanding customer services skills is essential.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details.
Demonstrated satisfactory performance and attendance record.
Demonstrated ability to function in a changing and sometimes stressful work environment.
Must be able to prioritize workload.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrated sound judgment and diplomacy.
Proficient in Windows-based applications environment and keyboard speed of 40 wpm.
