Tasks :

  • Assemble temporary display stands;
  • Keep the passages between the floor and the cold room free to facilitate circulation;
  • Keep the fruit and vegetable cold room organized and clean to ensure good rotation of the goods;
  • Cut, package, weigh, and label loose fruits and vegetables (berries, melons, etc.);
  • Ensure the order and cleanliness of counters, departments, and storage places;
  • Advise clients and answer their questions;
  • Perform the opening and closing tasks of the department;
  • Supply the displays and ensure their aesthetics;
  • Help control inventory levels to minimize excess or insufficient inventory, to maximize sales, inventory turnover and return on investment, in accordance with guidelines established for the store;
  • Ensure that the invoicing documents are correctly recorded in the departmental reception register and that all signed invoices are filed in the space provided for this purpose, in accordance with company policy;
  • Receive goods respecting the cold chain;
  • Ensure that the rotation procedures of articles are respected and that the merchandising presents the optimal freshness and quality in order to maximize sales and profits;
  • Keep the shelves and refrigerated compartments well filled and make sure that all the products presented have a displayed price;
  • Check the temperature of the refrigerators;
  • Check prices or pick up a product at the cashier's request;
  • Follow up on a product ordered by a client if necessary;
  • Monitor the quality of fruits and vegetables by respecting the expiration dates, assigned by the MAPAQ and ensure the rotation of stocks;
  • Make sure that all the displays are set up to optimize sales and profits, that they are impeccable and colorful and, where applicable, have complementary ranges and appropriate signs;
  • Ensure that all goods are properly labeled and that price changes are made promptly, in accordance with the store's general pricing guide and regular price checks of items placed on the sales floor in collaboration with the person responsible for price changes;
  • Ensure that damaged products are placed in section number two (2) to be classified and distributed to the juice and pancake and kitchen departments;
  • Respect the highest standards of a maintenance program that guarantees a clean, safe, pleasant and customer-friendly store;
  • Clean designated areas every hour in accordance with store policy, and respond promptly to emergencies and potential security risks, such as fallen products that cause incidents to customers and employees;
  • Ensure that passages, exits and storage are clean, clear and orderly;
  • Be discreet, attentive and know how to express oneself clearly and distinctly in the different official languages;
  • Apply and comply with the health and safety at work and hygiene standards;
  • Ensure that the department is ready to serve customers when the store opens;
  • Perform any other related tasks required by his superior.
