Main Accountabilities

  • Maintains peer to peer scientific relationships with key thought leaders, in academia, and government
  • Provides high quality medical and scientific support / communications to internal and external customers.
  • Supports as needed Phase IV and Investigator Initiated Studies (IITs). Reviews IIT proposals received for assigned territory and ensures that proposals are aligned with Ferring Canada, Global R&D, GMO and Commercial objectives.
  • Maintains high level of scientific and technical expertise in therapeutic areas. Develops and increases knowledge of medical literature and critical appraisal of scientific publications.
  • Completes additional development and leadership responsibilities as needed (reports, projects).
  • Supports Market Access activities as required.
  • Supports publication plan for Phase IV, IITs and case studies in each specific therapeutic area by collaborating with key KOL and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Development and Execution of CME or Other Learning Activity programs.

    Education / Experience

  • Advanced post graduate scientific degree required
  • MD, PhD, PharmD, preferred
  • Prior experience working in the Medical Affairs function for the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry experience is an asset
  • Urology, Oncology experience, a strong asset
  • Strong computer skills / proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Other Qualifications / Skills

  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Must live within the territory
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time (overnight travel included
