If fresh thinking and a passion to win inspire you, come Unleash Your Power at Kimberly-Clark. SUMMARY OF POSITION : Brand Managers own their Canadian brand and are accountable for the in-year delivery of brand objectives for assigned brands.

They create and execute brand operating plans, all commercial programs and manage the delivery of annual business objectives for their brands.

In addition, the Brand Manager provides leadership to cross functional teams and to other Sales, Marketing, and Finance Professionals within their applicable sector.

ORGANIZATION : This position reports into the Senior Brand Manager of the sector they work on. Key stakeholders include brand, sector, and business unit management, agency and media partners, global marketing capabilities, and local customer development teams. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Drives the delivery of business objectives for the brand including net sales, operating profit, gross margin, and market share.
  • Owns the long-range vision and plans for the brand.
  • Leads the development of the 3-year Brand Operating Plan, commercial programs and annual plan delivery.
  • Acts as the key marketing contact on cross-functional team interacting regularly with R&D, Product Supply, Business Analysis, Business Planning, and Marketing Research.
  • Serves as the key contact for all advertising / integrated marketing agency relationships.
  • Provides project and / or marketing leadership on innovation projects relative to Canada.
  • Engages strategic customer teams & sales strategy team to ensure delivery of plan.
  • Consults on the long term innovation plan for the brand through North American collaboration.
  • Identifies and develops relevant consumer and / or shopper insights.
  • Collaborates across relevant brand categories, to identify and proactively drive efficient brand building.
  • Provide leadership to the Canadian brand portfolio team.
  • Defines strategic category and brand learning plan needs.
  • Effectively sets & manages Advertising & Consumer Promotion & Canada Trade budgets.
  • Effectively leads the implementation of Innovation Summits and long-term business building sessions with the customer.
  • Leads ad hoc projects as required by the business. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Education; Experience & Critical Skills / Competencies) :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business / related field and 5+ years prior CPG marketing experience.
  • History of demonstrated success in the development & execution of brand operating and marketing plans that deliver sales, profit and share growth.
  • Ability to craft vision and strategy and make it come to life with actionable plans.
  • Strong experience leading brand development planning, innovation and creative ideation processes.
  • Experience with commercial program development, execution and measurement including digital, social, and eCommerce marketing experience.
  • Highly capable of writing / evaluating initiative and communications briefs.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive insights and action from data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, influence, communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to inspire, motivate, and lead multifunctional teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Able to make tough, informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track.
  • Passionate about driving brand growth by better meeting consumer needs.
  • Demonstrated positive energy to effectively represent brand internally and externally.
  • Motivated by challenges and possessing a robust sense of curiosity.
  • Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and complete projects within required timeframes.
  • Able to work in a matrix organization driving collaboration across functions, geographies and businesses.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated use of data access tools (Nielsen Answers Desktop), key data sources (Nielsen Market track, Homescan Panel, etc.
  • and advanced PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Graduate degree in Marketing / Business Administration or MBA.
  • Strong digital, social, and eCommerce marketing execution experience.
  • Demonstrated success in bringing innovation to market.
  • Leading and / or supporting complex business negotiations.
  • Supporting organizational change and influencing at the managerial and / or executive level.
