Forecast goals and objectives for the service department
Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all service department staff
Oversee day to day operations in the shop
Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service
Serve as the liaison between technicians and customers
Take ownership of customers experience by carrying out additional assignments, enabling the dealership top leave a positive impression with the customer
Trouble shoot and work with shop software company.
Communicates with Vendors
Oversees shop tooling
Work with Marketing to increase shop business
Delegate work in Service Shop
Enforce safety requirements
Maintain a professional appearance
Create a yearly budget and plan to ensure department profitability
Implement department efficienciesQualifications
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, CDL preferred (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively manage time
Proven follow-up and organizational skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret written information and instructions
Superior communication and customer service skills
Strong managerial skills
