Job Summary
Unload trucks of incoming raw material and putting away in warehouse. Keep presses supplied with material required to run jobs.
Receiving product into the system
Required Education and Experience :
Must have valid Forklift certification and Crane certification
Minimum 3-4 years receiving experience in a manufacturing environment
Must be able to read and write in English
Ability to follow well defined procedures and capable of implementing some practical procedures
Ability to use computer inventory system; experience with CMS is an asset
Essential Functions :
Receive incoming goods / unload trucks and reconcile to delivery slips. Receive material into CMS. Audit incoming product for accuracy of weight
Bring Material to presses and put material away for storage as per scan to location procedure. Re-label partial coils.
Perform inventory counts
Prepare / stage product for outgoing shipments. Load and ship product as per outgoing packing slips
Ensure that raw materials and product are dispersed or consumed based on FIFO
Provide back up assistance for Shipping / Drop Zone Department as required
Maintain and organize work area for smooth and efficient workplace and for safety measures
Ensure the safe operation of forklift and crane at all times; abide by safety training and regulations
Complete the necessary documentation; forklift checklist
Quantitative Measurables : Average 8 trucks / day (4 Receivers)Approx 1.6 million pounds of steel weekly (between 4 Receivers)Supply approx 25 presses with material
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, O. Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (with emphasis on Section 28, (1) (a)-(d), (2) (a)-(c))
Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following : Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
Work Environment :
85% indoors plant floor (PPE required), 15% outdoors

On a functional basis this role has the following reporting relationships : Indirectly reports to Press Supervisor

Physical Demands :
Frequent requirement of handling heavy equipment (operation)
Must be able to lift up to 35lbs.
Must be able to work with push pull forces of up to 50lbs. or less
Health and Safety :
Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
