Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Representative is responsible for managing sales of new equipment within the domestic sales function, contact assigned customer accounts or prospects to sell company products and services within a designated geographic territory or by nature of customer.
Moreover, focus on personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting on problem or key markets at our Ontario branch.
Duties include, but are not limited to :
Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Regional Sales Manager to implement sales action plans, and monitor economic trends and new product development
Prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals
Establish and build strong customer relationships
Initiate direct sales activities with existing customers and new prospects within assigned territories
Act as a customer representative for SMS and as focal point for communication between the customer and SMS Equipment
Assist customers in implementing equipment changes for improvement and reduced operating costs
Utilize the Company’s technical, sales and promotional resources to generate leads and achieve sales goals
A strong sales and mechanical aptitude is required with a preference to candidates with 5 - 7 years of experience within the construction / heavy equipment industries
The ability to operate in a diverse environment with a significant focus on client and customer relations
Strong computer skills with the ability to demonstrate proficiency in software applications
The ability to make decisions under pressure
