Overview of Opportunity

The Digital Customer Consulting practice at KPMG continues to grow at a very rapid pace. To fulfill the demand we are looking for great people who want to be part of part of making KPMG 'the clear choice in the Canadian market for imagining, designing, building and securing customer obsessed organizations'.

We are looking for people to join our Digital Customer Advisory practice with specific experience in the areas of : Digital Strategy, Experience Design, Client Experience Strategy, and Customer Journey Mapping.

You will be part of a team who will envision the future of our clients' business in a digital world. You will think holistically about an organization seeking opportunities to leverage digital and exponential technologies to achieve the goals and objectives of an ever changing customer landscape.

You will understand strategy, technology, design and process through the lens of a digital experience. This work includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, facilitating ideation sessions and developing and communicating recommendations.

It is important to us that you have done this before - meaning professional consulting experience is required. Our Consultants must be able to introduce themselves to a client with credible prior experiences that make them want you and by extension, us.

We will win by being amazing as individuals but off the charts as a team. A digital strategy / transformation engagement typically starts as an 8 -

10 week direction setting phase (but with KPMG's end to end capability will likely be much more). Our work results in a visionary but practical strategic direction that articulates the clients' path forward in redefining how they can become a connected enterprise through the strategic application of digital and interactive technology.

You will work as part of a team who will be part technology, part business strategy and part creative.

What you will do

Some of the work you will co-design with other KPMG Consultants and clients include :

  • Proposal development - articulate our understanding of the client ask and put forward an approach that will get them there fast, thorough and with quality
  • Project setup - you know the consulting process. You can set up a project plan, coordinate all the things that must get done and lay this out so everyone is clear on expectations
  • Research - you know a lot already because you follow the trends and know who's great. Notwithstanding that, our clients need more and you know how to find it.
  • Interviews - you ask great questions and listen intently so that we can establish the point of view with clients
  • Facilitation - you know that a great workshop takes 4x more time to prepare than to deliver. You are unrelenting in this preparation.
  • Report and presentation development - you can create work products that tell a story, are clear and based on fact
  • What you bring to the role

  • Professional consulting experience covering one or more of : digital strategy, digital transformation planning, client experience strategy and customer journey mapping
  • Experience in structuring and developing compelling proposals
  • Must have the ability to collect, organize, and synthesize diverse and complex data sets to create digital transformation strategies
  • Ability to effectively bridge the gap between technology and business oriented client teams, and anticipate / address client concerns and issues
  • Project and program management
  • Story-boarding and presentation
  • Persuasive reasoning and active listening
