This position can be located anywhere in Canada; Preference is Montreal working remotely
Copywriters are essential to bringing value to client digital collateral including websites, advertising, social media and more.
The copywriter wears a creative hat but understands the technical aspects of writing effective copy using the right keywords to ensure the end user understands the value.
The copywriter also understands brand marketing and is keen on ensuring consistency of the brand positioning for our clients.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Meet with the team to discuss the project requirement and client objectives
Use SEO best practices to maximize content effectiveness by ensuring keyword density is met
Understands fundamentals of SEO best practices and ensure that goals outlined by the SEO team are met
Curate content to ensure that no collateral contains duplicate content
Research customer needs to create relevant content that resonates with the target audience
Proofread and edit content for new content development and existing client digital collateral
Work across departments to ensure content and branding is aligned with client needs
Assist with the development of an internal bank of content sources relevant to various brands
Provide suggestions and recommendations to management to further develop process efficiency where required
Ensure that the content development queue is groomed, and tasks are completed in a timely manner
Assist the SEO team with backlinks and additional SEO duties as assigned
Assist the SEO team with administrative tasks for the launch of new client implementation
Collaborate with the SEO team to ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner
Post-secondary education in Communications or Writing
Minimum of 2 years of copywriting experience
In depth knowledge and understanding of content development and technical writing
SEO and research experience
Accurate, creative and great attention to detail are critical skills for this position
Ability to make deadlines and work well under pressure
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to take initiative and make important decisions
Effective time management and multi-tasking skills
Self-starter, ability to work independently and perform at optimum levels
Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task
Language : French and English, fully bilingual
Technical Skills : Well versed in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Sales Systems
