The Associate Designer works closely with other designers, marketing coordinators, specialists, associates, agencies and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced agency-like environment.
The Associate Designer is responsible for assigned projects and provides design support for marketing and brand materials such as ads, brochures, whitepapers, sell sheets, presentations, emails, events and promotional materials as they relate to the CDW marketing plan and business needs.
What you will do :
Design ads, infographics, articles, brochures, banners, logos, signage, social media assets, direct mail, sell-sheets, emails, presentations and promotional material in both print and digital formats
Provide design support for events and virtual events
Create marketing and seller enablement material that align to accessibility standards
Create and design videos and / or edit existing videos
Create and adhere to all templates and file requirements while maintaining department standards for pre-press preparation, organization, and accuracy
Coordinate revisions for assigned projects and prepare files
Translate brand and business strategies and requirements into effective cohesive design focused on the CDW customer
Collaborate cross functionally on projects
Determine layout, sizes and produce designs that reflects CDW brand standards (colours, fonts, guidelines)
Able to iterate rapidly and create multiple design solutions
Able to set personal schedules and meet deadlines
Produce multiple, time sensitive projects daily
Maintain consistency and overall production quality on multiple CDW projects
Meet production standards and schedules for assigned projects
Provide support to the marketing or design team as required which may require working evenings or weekends

Assist a senior designer and other designs to translate ideas into relevant designs
Begins to broaden design skills and develop design expertise

What you need to succeed :
Must have :
Bachelor's degree in human computer interaction, user experience, visual arts, graphic design or related field from a university, equivalent degree from college or demonstrated equivalent experience.
1 years of web or related design experience.
Online portfolio demonstrating design abilities and qualifications for role
Proficiency of the latest Adobe Creative Suite
Demonstrated experience with a variety of media and knowledge of basic design principles, layout and color theory
Strong attention to detail and ability to creatively problem solves
Ability to work independently with minimum direction
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders including senior leadership
History of successfully balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
Nice to have :
Prior experience working in technology industry
Demonstrated knowledge of pre-press and print techniques
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and video editing tools
Previous experience working in a Mac and PC environments.
Bilingual, French and English language, preferred
