You’ll focus on identifying and prioritising sustainability issues, setting goals that support alignment and integration of the sustainability vision into overall corporate strategy, and implementing processes, controls, systems, and dashboards to measure progress for consistent and accurate reporting.

Transition and physical risks and opportunities are resulting in significant changes in business, investment, and government policy across Canada and globally.
As a climate change manager, you will play a critical role on projects related to decarbonisation, transition, and resilience for clients across Canada.
You will apply your knowledge of climate change to support our clients and our PwC colleagues to build a stronger understanding of the opportunities and risks associated with climate change, and related areas of ESG, sustainability, and nature / biodiversity.
This role may also include opportunities to support international or global projects within the PwC network.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work across a range of climate change projects with Canada’s largest financial institutions, companies, and public entities.
A focus of this role will be to support transition risk / opportunity analysis within climate scenario analysis and broader decarbonisation work such as net zero strategies, pricing carbon, and related projects.
As a Manager, you'll work as part of multidisciplinary teams to :
Apply analytical skills and specialist knowledge of climate change to some of the most exciting and leading decarbonisation, transition, and resilience projects in Canada.
Gain experience across a range sectors including financial services, telecommunications, energy, mining, industry, public sector, infrastructure, etc, and over time develop a focus in one or more of these.
Contribute effectively to complex, multi-disciplinary projects often supporting several projects at a time.
and support internal and external thought leadership on specialist issues within climate change.
Develop as a subject matter expert on one or more of decarbonisation, transition, resilience, or other topics within climate change
Manage and coach junior resources.
Support technical projects in areas such as climate scenario analysis projects.
Support clients and PwC colleagues to build their capacity in climate change.
Manage client consulting engagements over their life-cycle.
Contribute to proposals and other business development activities.
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
Professional experience in climate change consulting, finance, business, or government.
A background in one or more of climate science, climate finance, engineering, financial analysis, economics, natural resources, or nature / biodiversity.
Demonstrated experience in one of decarbonisation, transition, resilience, or a related climate change subject matter, such as knowledge of the key frameworks in one or more of those areas (e.
g. ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, TCFD, SBTi, etc)
Experience with climate scenario assessment, especially transition risk assessment, preferred
Commercial acumen and strong programme and project management skills
Critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem solving abilities
Ability to lead and work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams
Exceptional commitment to providing excellent client service, by building and maintaining productive relationships with both internal and external clients
Strong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulness
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
Ideally based in Toronto (although candidates from other markets are encouraged to apply)
