Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will oversee projects for a variety of clients, be the principal contact for specific clients and projects requiring high risk management and technical oversight, and will assist the management team with providing supervision, training, coordination and quality control for employees.
They shall also contribute to the quality of all general deliverables issued by the group (proposals, reports, etc.)
What you will be doing at Pinchin
Technical mentorship of Project Managers and Project Technologists within the group
Financial and administrative responsibilities
Opportunity to work in a team environment to contribute to the growth of a team of environmental professionals and provide technical training and mentoring of employees throughout the group
Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the group
Performing Project Management duties both locally and with assistance of staff in other regions to manage national portfolios
Reviewing the work (reports, proposals, etc.) of employees and colleagues to ensure it meets the standards established for Pinchin EDR work
Assisting with developing and executing sales and business development plans and
initiatives
What you bring to the Pinchin team
A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Science or Environmental Engineering or equivalent will be considered an asset
Licensed Professional in Nova Scotia in a respective discipline (P.Eng., P.Geo. (or an ability to obtain the License) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
10-15 years of experience with advance environmental engineering assessment, remediation and due diligence experience in real estate transactions and commercial and industrial real estate
Thorough understanding of current environmental regulations and standards within Nov Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island
Experienced in technical report and proposal writing and reviewing
Expertise in managing a team, budget management, report preparation, and client relationship management
Proven ability to develop our existing client base and recognize new market opportunities
Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management
Valid driver’s licence and insurance are required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
