About the Opportunity!

VCA Canada Mississauga-Oakville Animal Hospital is currently recruiting for a customer service focused part-time Client Service Representative to join our amazing team.

We are looking for a personable yet highly professional service extraordinaire individual to join us in our mission. As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each client's trust and confidence in our abilities.

Responsibilities and qualities required for this role are :

  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment for our patient and pet parents
  • Ability to answer a multi line phone system, schedule and confirm appointments
  • Invoicing / billing; Daily money handling including obtaining pet owner authorization and processing payments
  • Manage email and phone communications with clients, referring veterinarians, pet insurance companies & internal office messages
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on emergency and specialty services, costs and appointment availability.
  • Assist with patient aftercare and bereavement counseling.
  • Strong organizational skills, managing medical records and maintaining office supply inventory
  • General housekeeping duties including ensuring the cleanliness of reception area and common areas
  • Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services and updated medical office procedures
  • This position may include weekdays, evenings and weekends.
