The resale business is growing in Canada and more support is required on the Quality side to keep up with the growth. The Quality technician will act as key player in performing several tasks to improve processes and will have a hands-
on contribution by performing himself first article inspection (FAI) reports on all new products received at Bromont DC and random inspections as well.
He will answer all customer complaints on the RESALE side and implement proper corrective actions. He will also be in charge of scheduling and performing assessment audits for our main suppliers based in Canada and will be aligned with the Supplier Quality Management Organization (SQMO) based in Memphis.
He will participate in the Make Quality Happen deployment plan for EPIP Canada in 2018.
RESALE QUALITY CAN
Perform random inspections on incoming products at Bromont DC
Perform FAI & FO reports on all new products received at Bromont DC
Document all Resale products with Inspection & packaging instruction sheets along with Quality Control Plan & procedures.
None of them is documented right now on the RESALE side for Canada.
Answer all customer complaints (PARR) by documenting and implementing proper corrective actions with the help of the Corporate SQE
Participate in the ISO 9001 quality management system (internal, external audits) and own the process
SUPPLY QUALITY MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION - CANADA
Oversee supplier identification, on-boarding, qualification, evaluation, classification. Develop and support supplier to achieve ongoing conformance with ABB requirements and continual improvement in quality.
Schedule and perform assessment - audits of critical suppliers. Manage resulting activities
Issue, validate and close corrective actions for critical resale non-conformances
Participate in gate model for new or modified products and manage supplier PPAP type processes and tools
Define, analyze and communicate supplier performance data
Support improvements projects on the corporate side
MQH deployment program
L6S & Lean tools deployment
Quality Software tool deployment (IQS)
Participate in all other quality certifications (internal, external audits for IECEx, ABS etc.)
Support the Quality & OpEx reporting
Build & Execute the plan on retesting of our certified products Product Legacy testing

10 years’ experience in Quality
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, metrology, metallurgy and machining
Working knowledge of problem solving / root cause analysis
Knowledge of ISO Standards
Be familiar with Quality management system (QMS);
Be familiar with quality tools like 8D Problem solving, FMEA, QCP, SPC, Gage R&R etc;
ISO9001 2015 internal auditor
Very Strong computer / Office 365 skills (Excel, Access, SharePoint etc.) Minitab (Asset)
Ability to read plan and perform metrology
Strong communication and coordination abilities
Fluent in written and speaking French / English
