General Maintenance is primarily responsible for responding to internal and external calls and may also assist in maintaining the hotel facilities in optimum operating condition, by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel power plant machinery (including heat, light, power, air conditioning, plumbing and refrigeration).
He / she will be required to learn various technical systems. Candidate must have knowledge in Building Maintenance Systems (BMS) -
BES 700+ / Building Operator I or II. The ideal candidate will have a can-do approach to any request! This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
Additional Skills & Abilities preferred
A minimum of five years of technical experience or equivalent in a recognized trade with understanding of the building maintenance and operation.
The ability to communicate and interact with guests.
The ability to work independently and productively
The ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments
The ability to learn various technical systems. A willingness to learn and advance themselves within the engineering department.
Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
Additional language a definite asset for career growth
Completion of Post Secondary Education in Hospitality or related field
This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work overnight, weekends and holidays.
