Job Description

The Managing Director, Data Operations will be a senior member of the Data & Advanced Analytics group and Technology & Data department.

The role will manage the Data Operations team with direct responsibility to deliver and maintain accurate, complete and timely data sets.

Developing relationships with partners in order to execute on their data requirements. Leverage knowledge of processes and technologies to enhance data management tasks as accurately and efficiently as possible.

Implement process and operation changes. Use quantitative and qualitative metrics to measure process quality and efficiency.

Role Specific Accountabilities :

  • Develop and implement the next generation Data Operations roadmap, prioritizing deliverables and processes aligned to approved initiatives and firm-wide strategic priorities.
  • Build and lead a team of highly impactful Data Operators
  • Determining priorities, providing development and growth opportunities and championing team across the organization.
  • Work closely with departments across CPP Investments to understand investment needs for enterprise data sets. Strengthen and forge relationships with key partners across the organization.
  • Monitors and updates processes through the effective use of metrics and measures. Through metric analysis, improves various efficiency measures including timeliness of product and capacity.
  • Create a culture of innovation and collaboration that enables regular and transformative change
  • Foster a people first environment, while maintaining existing levels of engagement. Deeply understand talent, regularly coach, provide upskilling, and facilitate new experiences for colleagues.
  • Qualifications

    If you possess the following, we'd like to hear from you :

  • Bachelor Degree, with a technology or business emphasis, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Securities Services and / or Asset Management Operations
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically with respect to data, technology, risk and controls.
  • Strong organizational & planning skills and a track record of delivery.
  • Strong data orientation and ability to lead on data culture, practice development and tooling.
  • Good leadership, influencing & communication skills with the ability to collaborate with others at all levels and across disciplines in a virtual organization.
  • Ability to deal with issues on a global, cross business levels.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Adaptable to new technologies and challenges not previously encountered
  • Able to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders, including business leaders, operational staff and technical engineers
  • Proven project management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and business users
  • Self-motivated with acute attention to detail
  • Innovative and proactive
