Participate in defining the objective of each test with the development teams and the user researchers;
Design research protocols, with the help of the other researchers, conduct research studies, observe participants, collect any relevant data
Participate in the identification, recruitment and management of participants before and after each test;
Participate in setting up the laboratory before and after each test;
From observations, structured interviews, questionnaires and quantitative data, write research results in a relevant and actionable way to generate customer-centric experiences for existing and future games.
Experience and qualifications
Open-minded, resourceful, quick to learn and ready to improve games through user research;
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in psychology, ethnography, marketing research, information science, cognitive sciences, computer interaction, computer science or related field;
Able to identify clearly problems in the games tested and prioritize them by gravity, potential impact, frequency of occurrence
Strong skills in writing and delivering presentations;
Trained in applied user research;
Having done projects for console or mobile videogames is a plus;
Toolkit of qualitative research techniques, usability tests, think aloud, think after, diary study, semi-structured interviews, focus groups, heuristic evaluations, etc.;
Strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint;
Basic understanding of game development processes and how to align users' search with them.
