Senior Manager, Pricing Job Summary
As Senior Manager, Pricing you will be the Pricing Lead responsible for the pricing strategy within our Business Transformation program.
The Senior Manager, Pricing will work with the Manager, Pricing & Profitability; Business Development Category leaders; and Services leaders to develop and implement the governance, policies and processes for solution pricing that maximize business value and drive sales and profitability.
This role will receive general direction from the Business Transformation Program Management Team and will report directly to the VP, Business Transformation.
The Senior Manager, Pricing may provide functional and technical supervision over internal and / or contract staff, as assigned to implement the pricing strategy, policies, processes and procedures.
The Pricing Lead will also provide input and collaborate with all the work streams on the program on the various areas such as marketing, quoting, customer analysis, financial reporting, etc.
Partner with the various business leaders to establish and drive pricing vision, strategy, and plans to optimize revenue, market share, brand positioning and long-
term profits by category / solution and customer type
Manage the development of robust commercial pricing models; clearly presenting inputs and outputs from the models to senior leaders and other stakeholders to drive decision making.
This includes various inputs, such as, rebates, volume discounts, margins, etc.
Validate and enhance current pricing governance, policies and processes (e.g. pricing floors / ceilings, approvals, etc.
and implement them into new systems
Lead the implementation of pricing rules and workflows within the ERP systems and tools
Stay current with market conditions in order to develop and refine pricing strategies and models to stay competitive within our industry
Work with OEM partners to build funding / rebate programs into pricing strategy
Forecast the impact of pricing decisions related to the overall business and communicate expectations, profitability, and key pricing metrics
Develop pricing performance management, KPIs and reporting processes / tools
10+ years of experience of pricing strategy and implementation
Post-secondary Degree or Diploma. MBA considered an asset
Rigorous integrated analytical and financial management skills
Proficient in the MS Office Suite of tools, especially Access, Excel, PowerPoint and has a strong grasp of analytics, metrics, data and statistics
Experience implementing / deploying a CPQ platform, i.e. Apttus,
Strong problem solving ability and analytical thinking
Strategic thinker in a fast-paced and competitive market
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including people development / coaching, objective setting and evaluation
Ability to influence, collaborate and interact effectively with multiple key stakeholders across several functional areas in order to align on decisions
Ability to work successfully in a project team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with diplomacy
