  • Identify training needs according to legislative, corporate, customer or development / performance requirements
  • Develop training reports for department
  • Schedule, coordinate, evaluate, and record group and individual trainings
  • Configure training database for efficient tracking, reporting, and compliance of training requirements
  • Compliance with :
  • Legislative requirements, including OHSA, ESA, Human Rights Code, AODA, etc.
  • IATF 16494, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 and ISO 140001 Training Requirements
  • Company Training Policies and Procedures
  • Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Manage new hire training plans including onboarding functions
  • Develop and manage performance and talent management as well as succession planning
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts within job specifications
  • Liaise with corporate for training requirements
  • Assist with Payroll, Benefits, Claims Management, Staffing, and Pension
  • Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • 5+ years related Human Resources experience
  • 2+ years within a unionized manufacturing environment preferred
  • CHRP / CHRM / CHRL designations preferred
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements including ESA, AODA, OHSA etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, innovate, initiate, and enhance programs
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills
  • Extensive experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of HRIS systems
