What you’ll do :

Perform full cycle accounting for assigned retails which include the preparation of financial statements and providing accounting support.

This includes the following responsibilities :

  • Prepare and analyze period financial statements and follow up on irregularities.
  • Maintain supporting schedules, including but not limited to fixed asset subledgers and prepaid schedules.
  • Assist with budget preparation.
  • Complete year-end working papers and financial statements, review member purchase data and prepare adjustments for retail allocations.
  • Prepare and file the corporate tax returns.
  • Maintain tax controls including logging of refunds claimed and received; payments of final balances and installments and follow up with CRA as necessary.

    Who you are :

    You are looking for a career in Accounting and :

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a major in Accounting or a Two year Business diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a major in Accounting (or equivalent area of study).
  • No experience required (with a degree) or 2 years of financial statement preparation experience (with a diploma).

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a major in Accounting or a Two year Business diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a major in Accounting (or equivalent area of study).
  • You have a minimum of 1 year of financial statement preparation experience (with a degree) or 3 years of financial statement preparation experience (with a diploma).

  • You’re familiar with and have experience related to the applicable functional area
